Agartala, July 11 -- A rifleman of the Tripura State Rifles (TSR) has been suspended after being arrested by Assam Police in connection with a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, officials said on Saturday.
Rifleman (General Duty) Sachindra Reang, who was posted with the Intelligence Wing of the 13th Battalion TSR in Kanchanpur in North Tripura district, was arrested in connection with a case registered at Ratabari Police Station in Assam's Karimganj district on July 9 under Sections 22(c), 25 and 29 of the NDPS Act, according to an official suspension order.
