Agartala, June 24 -- Tripura has announced the launch of Cashless Medical Scheme for Road Accident Victims 2025, aimed at saving lives and providing immediate medical support to road accident victims, said Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury here on Tuesday.
The scheme, to be implemented by the state transport department, ensures prompt medical treatment during the critical "golden hour" following an accident. The initiative will cover emergency medical treatment expenses and offer financial assistance to victims of road accidents.
"Our objective is to ensure that no life is lost due to a lack of timely treatment. The scheme will facilitate immediate hospitalisation of victims, saving precious lives," Chowdhury said.
