Agartala, Aug. 8 -- Tripura has announced to host the 5th iteration of the nationwide nine-day-long 'Har Ghar Tiranga' festival from tomorrow to August 17, like the previous year, featuring a variety of patriotic events, cultural activities, and initiatives designed to encourage public involvement throughout the state.
The Secretary, Information and Cultural Affairs, Kiran Gitte, said that the campaign was initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2022 as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative, but over the years it has grown into a movement supported by citizens, motivating them to proudly display the National Flag and strengthen their allegiance to the country.
