Agartala, Aug. 29 -- The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls in Tripura district is set to commence on September 5, aiming to undertake a detailed verification and revision exercise to ensure all eligible voters are included and ineligible persons are excluded.
West Tripura District Election Officer and District Magistrate Dr Vishal Kumar said the process will officially begin with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) conducting door-to-door verification and distributing necessary forms to households.
From September 15 to October 14, electoral officials will conduct house-to-house enumeration to collect and verify voter information, and the draft electoral roll will be published on October 21.
