Agartala, June 9 -- Tripura dispatched a shipment of high-quality 'Queen' pineapples grown by the Bokhari Organic Producers of Mandai, near Agartala, to New Delhi on Tuesday.

The consignment was flagged off by Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath.

Minister Nath mentioned that around 1,000 Queen pineapples, totalling a metric tonne, were sent to Delhi, despite the high demand for them both nationally and internationally. He emphasised the need to increase pineapple cultivation and promote organic products.
