Agartala, Oct. 25 -- Police launched an investigation registering a case after the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Belonia Police Station of South Tripura was brutally attacked and injured when he, along with a team, had gone to stop an illegal DJ party being held beyond the permissible hours.
According to official sources, the incident occurred around 11:00 PM when the police team reached the Oriental Club following reports of loud music continuing past the time limit fixed by Tripura High Court, which prohibits high-volume sound systems after 11:00 PM.
