Agartala, Sept. 11 -- A significant high-level meeting took place last night between senior officials from Tripura and Mizoram to address the long-standing interstate border dispute.

The meeting resulted in a decision to maintain the status quo in the border areas of both states while working toward a lasting solution.

It was also agreed that routine developmental activities will continue, and any demarcation efforts will involve the Survey of India for joint demarcation.

Key administrative and security personnel from both states, including Home Secretaries, Revenue Secretaries, District Magistrates, and SPs, were present at the meeting.
