Agartala, May 26 -- Tripura's Minister of Animal Resources Development and Fisheries, Sudhangsu Das, has appealed Centre to reassess the current funding model for the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) and advocated for a more advantageous cost-sharing scheme tailored for North-eastern states.
During the regional review meeting in Aizawl, Das, in the presence of union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh, Minister of State George Kurian, and representatives from other North-eastern states, called for stronger collaboration and faster implementation of livestock and fisheries development programmes.
