Agartala, Aug. 15 -- The Additional Sessions Judge of Udaipur in Tripura's Gomati District convicted a man yesterday for a deadly attack on one of his neighbours, identified as Sadhan Hari Jamatia from Khedarnal in Natunbazar.
He was sentenced to life imprisonment with rigorous terms and fined Rs 5,000. If he fails to pay the fine, he will face an additional five months of rigorous imprisonment. This sentencing relates to his offense under Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
In addition, he received a sentence of rigorous imprisonment for 7 years and a fine of Rs. 3,000for an offense under Section 326 of the IPC. Failure to pay this fine will result in an extra three months of rigorous imprisonment. Both sentences are set to run c...
