Agartala, July 13 -- The Tripura government has suspended classes in all government, government-aided, and private schools in West Tripura and Sepahijala districts on Monday due to heavy rainfall and adverse weather conditions.

The decision was made in response to the continuous heavy rainfall expected to persist for the day, prioritising the safety of the students.

The Education Department promptly directed the concerned authorities to issue immediate orders ensuring compliance from all schools.

Additionally, the centralised examinations scheduled for Monday were postponed, and the district education officers were tasked with informing schools and ensuring smooth implementation of the decision.
