Agartala, Sept. 21 -- Tripura is in the process of significantly expanding its cricket infrastructure by earmarking 30 acres of land at Sekerkot, on the southern outskirts of the city, for the development of a state-of-the-art cricket academy.
The infrastructure will offer Tripura a larger venue for competitive cricket and create additional opportunities for the state to host high-profile matches.
The Chief Minister, Dr Manik Saha, while addressing the Annual Award Distribution Ceremony-2026 organised by the Tripura Cricket Association (TCA), stated that the initiative aims to strengthen player development in Tripura and potentially serve aspiring cricketers from across the Northeast.
