Agartala, Jan. 28 -- The opposition CPI-M has ramped up its political activities in tribal-dominated regions ahead of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (ADC) elections, slated to take place in the coming months.
The ADC, once a leftist stronghold, saw a significant shift in the 2021 elections.
Amid rising tensions and the aggressive presence of the ruling TIPRA Motha in ADC areas, CPI-M's tribal wing, Tripura Adivasi Ganamukti Parishad (GMP), is preparing to host its 23rd Central Conference at the Agartala Town Hall from Thursday for two days, said GMP state president Naresh Jamatia.
