Agartala, Jan. 15 -- Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha has promised to raise the issue of Anjel Chakma's recent killing in Dehradun with the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand during a meeting in Delhi, seeking a fast-track investigation.

The alleged racially motivated murder has sparked nationwide outrage, protests throughout Northeast India, and calls for stringent punishment and a CBI probe.

Anjel Chakma, a 24-year-old MBA final-year student from Tripura, was viciously attacked in Dehradun in what the family and several civil society groups claim to be a racially motivated assault.
