Agartala, Jan. 25 -- In a significant development, BJP Tripura Pradesh Committee has suspended Rajib Saha, the President of Barjala Mandal Committee in Agartala, with immediate effect, citing his alleged involvement in land mafia activities in the northern parts of the city.
The suspension follows Saha's arrest by Tripura Police after an FIR was filed by Kunal Ghosh, a personal guard of Shankar Lal Datta, Registrar of Tripura High Court. Saha reportedly opposed Datta's attempt to directly purchase a land plot in the Patunagar area without cooperating with his group.
