Agartala, June 12 -- Tripura's Parliamentary Affairs minister Ratan Lal Nath said on Friday that the state government has initiated the process of providing employment for the family members of those who lost their lives in political violence over the past three decades.
The minister highlighted the prevalence of political murders during the 25-year communist rule before the BJP-led government came into power. He revealed that between 1993 and 2017, a staggering 15,589 murders occurred in Tripura, with hundreds specifically classified as political killings, yet no satisfactory action was taken by the previous administration.
