Agartala, Aug. 7 -- The Election Commission of India has announced the launch of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls in Tripura, starting September 5, said CEO Tripura Brijesh Pandey.
He explained that this process will carefully aim to identify and remove duplicate entries, as well as those for individuals who have moved, passed away, or are ineligible.
"It aims to ensure that all qualified citizens have the opportunity to register. A dedicated team of 3,356 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) along with 375 BLO Supervisors will be working across Tripura's 60 Assembly Constituencies and 3,356 polling stations," Pandey said.
