Agartala, Jan. 3 -- As cold wave continued in Tripura, with sunlight absent for over a week, the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (ADC) mandated the closure of educational institutions in the hilly regions for 10 days from Saturday.

Meteorologists have indicated that, although the temperature has not decreased significantly, a 5-degree Celsius difference between the maximum and minimum temperatures has exacerbated the cold conditions across the state for a few days.
