Kolkata, April 10 -- West Bengal's ruling Trinamool Congress on Thursday played a purported video clip at its media briefing and accused newly formed Aam Janata Unnayan Party leader Humayun Kabir of demanding Rs.1,000 crore from the BJP for the Bengal Assembly polls in lieu of support post the Assembly elections.
Kabir, an expelled TMC leader, dismieed the video as "fake" and called it a conspiracy.
The video, whose authenticity has not been checked by UNI, shows a person resembling Kabir telling another person that he has received Rs 300 crore to buy Muslim votes.
Addressing the media, TMC leader Kunal Ghosh demanded a thorough investigation into the alleged matter.
