Nahan, Aug. 11 -- A photograph from a free yoga camp being held in Nahan, Himachal Pradesh, has sparked controversy after the national tricolour was allegedly seen being used as a table covering, with sweets, a picture of Sai Baba and puja materials placed on it.
The free yoga camp is being organised from August 10 to 13 at the Dirghayu Yoga Center at Pakka Tank. The camp is associated with the Rotary Club of Nahan and the yoga centre.
The photograph has triggered questions over the manner in which the national flag was handled at the public event. The tricolour is a symbol of the country's sovereignty, unity and national pride, and its display and use are governed by provisions of the Flag Code of India.
