New Delhi, July 22 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, paying respect to the national flag on Wednesday said that the Tricolour is a glorious symbol of the nation's unity, integrity, sacrifice and pride.
Paying tribute to the country's Tricolour, and extending her wished to the people on the 'National Flag Adoption Day,' Gupta urged people that on the sacred occasion, everyone must resolve to always uphold the dignity of the national flag at the highest level, asking everyone to contribute with complete dedication towards nation building.
The day is celebrated across the country on July 22, to commemorate the historic moment, back in 1947, when the Constituent Assembly had officially adopted the Tricolour as the national flag.
