New Delhi, Aug. 25 -- India's women's doubles pair Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand have made a significant jump in the latest BWF world rankings following their historic bronze medal at the recently concluded World Championships here.
The Indian duo has climbed 12 places, moving from World No.39 to No.27. Their ranking points have also increased from 33,692 to 44,192.
Treesa and Gayatri won the only medal for India at the home World Championships. Their run to the semifinals made them the first Indian women's doubles pair since Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa in 2011 to win a medal at the event.
