Dharamshala, March 21 -- The Himachal Pradesh Animal Husbandry Department has made the recruitment process for Pashu Mitras more transparent and streamlined following amendments to the Pashu Mitra Policy-2025, Deputy Director Seema Guleria said on Friday.
She stated that the role of a Pashu Mitra involves significant responsibility, including handling large animals such as cows, buffaloes and horses, caring for sick livestock, lifting animals up to 25 kg, and transporting feed bags weighing up to 50 kg, requiring adequate physical strength and stamina.
