Mumbai, Feb. 19 -- To ensure the comprehensive development of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) and to address the growing needs of urbanization, a budget of Rs 48,000 crore was approved at a recent MMRDA meeting chaired by Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
Through this initiative, the cities of Thane and Kalyan will undergo major transformation, he assured and informed that Thane will be developed as a 'Mobility Hub', while Kalyan will emerge as a progressive urban centre of the future.
