Bratislava, Nov. 10 -- Two passenger trains collided head-on between Pezinok and Bratislava in Slovakia, injuring 18 people and disrupting rail traffic.

The crash occurred along the busy corridor connecting the capital to Pezinok.

Interior Minister Matus Sutaj Estok said during a televised briefing that dozens were injured and eleven people were taken to the hospital. "There were no deaths in the crash," he said.

The minister is traveling to the crash site, confirmed ministry spokesperson Matej Neumann.

According to a report by the News Agency of the Slovak Republic (TASR), at least 18 people were injured on Sunday evening when two trains collided between the town of Pezinok in the Bratislava region and the capital, Bratislava.
