Thiruvananthapuram, Aug. 29 -- Kerala's rich heritage of folk and indigenous art forms is receiving renewed attention through the ongoing Onam Tourism Week celebrations, with the Tourism Department providing a prominent platform for traditional artists and their diverse cultural expressions.

As part of the week-long celebrations being held from August 24 to 30, a traditional art form is being presented every day at the main venue, Nishagandhi, as envisioned by Tourism Minister P C Vishnunadh.

Tholpavakoothu, Padayani, Arjuna Nirtham, Poothanum Thirayum, Theyyam, Ottam Thullal, Sarppappattu, Duffmutt, Mudiyettu and Oppana are among the traditional art forms being showcased as part of the celebrations.
