Hyderabad, Nov. 13 -- The Telangana Police Officers Association (TPOA) has strongly condemned what it alleged were derogatory comments made by BRS Working President and MLA K T Rama Rao (KTR) against the State Director General of Police (DGP) B. Shivadhar Reddy during a recent television interview.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Association said the "politically motivated" remarks made by the former minister were "vulgar, inappropriate, and disrespectful" towards the Head of the state police force.
The statement signed by TPOA president Y Gopireddy, demanded that K T Rama Rao immediately withdraw his objectionable remarks and tender a public apology to the DGP and the police department.
