Hyderabad, May 13 -- Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud on Wednesday strongly defended the Congress government in Telangana, asserting that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy is a "quintessential Congress leader" and that justice would be delivered in the case involving allegations against the son of union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar.
Interacting informally with the media at Gandhi Bhavan, Mahesh Kumar said there had been no delay in the investigation and stressed that the Congress party, which enacted the POCSO Act, had no intention of shielding anyone.
He stated that action would be taken strictly according to law and that the government stood firmly with the victim.
