Hyderabad, Sept. 10 -- TPCC President Bomma Mahesh Kumar Goud has expressed concern over the lukewarm response from youth and voters to new voter registrations and notices issued during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 of electoral rolls in Telangana.
In a statement on Thursday, he said the situation was particularly concerning in Greater Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy and Medchal-Malkajgiri districts, where the expected progress in new voter registrations was lacking. He noted that many youngsters who have turned 18 were yet to register as voters through Form-6, while eligible citizens risk losing their voting rights if they fail to respond to SIR notices within the stipulated time.
