Hubballi, July 22 -- A 40-year-old tourist from Vijayapura was seriously injured after falling from a zipline at a private resort in Karnataka's Dandeli earlier this month, prompting police to book the resort owner and two staff members on charges of alleged negligence.

The victim, identified as Kuber Surpur, was injured when he fell from the zipline at Starling River Resort on July 3. He is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in neighbouring Maharashtra.

The accident was captured on video by Surpur's brother, who was filming the ride. Despite the seriousness of the incident, no police case was registered immediately.
