Chennai, Aug. 19 -- Tourist arrivals in Tamil Nadu increased from 30.80 crore in 2024 to 36.47 crore in 2025, Tourism Minister S.Rajesh Kumar informed the State Assembly on Wednesday.
Moving the demand for grants for his department, he also said a comprehensive Sustainable Tourism Policy will be framed to preserve the State's natural resources and ecological balance to transform Tamil Nadu into a global destination for eco-tourism and position TNas one of the top 5 tourism destinations in South East Asia in terms of Tourist Arrivals, World Class Infrastructure and Unique Tourism Experience. .
