Sultanpur, Sept. 27 -- A two-and-a-half-year-old boy lost his life after accidentally getting locked inside a car in the Akhandnagar area of Sultanpur district, police said on Saturday.

The child remained trapped for an extended period, ultimately succumbing to suffocation and heat.

The child, identified as Arthav Tiwari, was the son of Alok Kumar Tiwari, a staff member at the Akhandnagar Community Health Centre (CHC), and Damini Tiwari, who works as an MT on the 102 Ambulance service. The family resides in the government quarters within the CHC premises.
