Lucknow, June 18 -- Samajwadi Party (SP) national president Akhilesh Yadav announced on Wednesday that his party plans to kickstart its campaign for the 2027 assembly elections from Gorakhpur, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's constituency.
Addressing a press conference at the party office here, he said a major SP conference will be held in Gorakhpur soon. Organization officials from Gorakhpur are busy with preparations, and the date of the conference will be decided soon. The SP has made Gorakhpur the center of Mission 2027 and is preparing to corner the BJP, he said.
