Chennai, Jan. 20 -- Asserting that it will stick to its long followed two-language formula,the Tamil Nadu government today said it was rejecting the Centre's New Education Policywhich envisaged implementation of three-language formula, while reaffirming its Oppositionto Hindi imposition in the state.

In hs customary New Year address to the State Assembly, Governor R N Ravi said thisGovernment has not accepted the three-language formula prescribed in the Centre's NewEducation Policy.

Even when grants legitimately due to Tamil Nadu were withheld which resulted in a significantfinancial burden, this Government has consistently reiterated that it will not accept the unionGovernment's three-language formula.
