Bengaluru, May 18 -- A 33-year-old tourist from Tamil Nadu was killed after being crushed during a clash between two trained elephants at the famed Dubare Elephant Camp in Karnataka's Kodagu district on Monday, triggering fresh concerns over tourist safety at wildlife camps.
The deceased was identified as Tulasi, who was visiting the camp with her family and watching an elephant bathing session near the river when the tragedy unfolded.
According to forest officials, two trained elephants, Kanjan and Marthanda, suddenly turned aggressive and began fighting while being bathed by mahouts at the camp.
