Chennai, March 25 -- Launching a fierce attack on the ruling DMK accusing it of failing to fulfill its poll promises and steeped in corruption, AIADMK General Secretary, Edappadi K Palaniswami, heading the NDA in Tamil Nadu, kicked off his campaign for the April 23 Assembly polls in the city on Wednesday evening.
Launching his first phase of electioneering after offering prayers at the ancient Lord Kapaleeswarar Temple at Mylapore seat (allotted to BJP) in South Chennai, a predominant Brahmin inhabited area, he listed the failures of the DMK government during the last five years and sought a renewed mandate for the AIADMK to ensure a people-centric governance.
