Chennai, July 18 -- In a pioneering initiative, the Tamil Nadu on Saturday launched the e-Zero FIR system to facilitate he prompt registration and investigation of cyber financial fraud cases reported through the Cyber Crime Helpline 1930.
The initiative has been introduced in line with the union Ministry of Home Affairs nationwide efforts to strengthen the response to cyber financial crimes and enhance the recovery of defrauded amounts, a release from the Tamil Nadu Director General of Police/Head of Police Force, said.
Under the e-Zero FIR mechanism, cyber financial fraud complaints involving a financial loss of more than Rs one lakh reported through the 1930 Helpline are automatically integrated with the Crime and Criminal Tracking Net...
