Chennai, July 27 -- Tamil Nadu Governor R V Arlekar led the state in paying glowing tributes to former President and missile scientist Bharat Ratna Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam on his 12th death anniversary on Monday.
Leaders of various political parties, including former BJP State President and "We the Leader's Movement" Founder K Annamalai and officials from the government and the district adminsitration and a large number of locals paid floral tributes at his memorial at Peikarumbu in Rameswaram in Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu.
The Governor garlanded his statue and paid floral tributes to a portrait of the late President at Lok Bhavan.
