Chennai, Aug. 26 -- The Tamil Nadu government has stepped up surveillance and testing for H1N1 influenza, commonly known as swine flu, following a marginal rise in cases, and allayed the fears of the people, saying there was no need for any panic.
The Health and Family Welfare department in an advisory following spike in cases, said the number of reported cases rose from 19 in January to 339 currently,. It appealed to the people to remain vigilant and seek medical attention promptly if they have any symptomsof fear, cough of cold.
