Chennai, Oct. 24 -- As part of its green initiative, the Tamil Nadu government haslaunched the Palm Seed Plantation Mission-2025 under which over one crore palmseeds would be planted across the state to increase the green cover.
An official release here said under the guidance of the Tamil Nadu Government, theDepartment of Environment, Climate Change and Forests, Green Tamil Nadu Mission,Tamil Nadu Volunteers Organisation, District administrations and NGOs have jointlylaunched the large-scale initiative "Palm Seed Plantation Mission - 2025."As part of this green initiative, more than a crore palm seeds are being planted acrossTamil Nadu, with 5,000 seeds allocated per village panchayat.
