Chennai, Feb. 16 -- In a major fillip to industrial development, the Tamil Nadu Government on Mondaysigned MoUs with Japan-headquartered NMB (Minibia India Ltd) and Aequs Group committing assuredinvestment of Rs 5,980 crore and offering 8,400 jobs for setting up their manufacturing facilities in theState that would further fuel industrial and economic growth.
The NMB would invest Rs 1,900 crore to set up its Semiconductor, Electric equipments manufacturingand Research and Development centre in Tiruvallur district of the state, generating jobs for 1,400 people.
