Bhubaneswar, June 22 -- Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday expressed profound grief over the death of Odia migrant workers in the ammonia gas leak at a shrimp processing unit in Tiruvallur district of Tamil Nadu and announced an ex gratia of Rs 4 lakh each from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF) for the next of kin of the deceased.
In a condolence message, the Chief Minister said he was deeply saddened by the tragedy and conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured Odia workers.
