Chennai, July 4 -- Tamil Nadu Finance Minister Marie Wilson did not appear before the First Judicial Magistrate (JM) Court in Puducherry in connection with the 2022 trespass and assault case.
When the case came up for hearing yesterday, the court directed him to compulsorily appear before it tody to receive the copies of the additional charge-sheet in the case.
Wilson contested the recent Assembly elections as TVK candidate and won from the RK Nagar constituency in Chennai and became the Finance Minister.
However, Wilson did not appear today and his counsel informed the court that he was busy in Tamil Nadu Budget preparatory meetings and sought adjournment.
