Chennai, Feb. 23 -- In a major boost to Industrial development, the Tamil Nadu Cabinet on Monday evening approved incentives to 46 projects, including and expansion of existing ones, involving committed investments to the tune of Rs 31,952.39 crore.

These project would offer jobs to 61,521 people, Industries Minister TRB Raaja told the media after the meeting chaired by Chief Minister M K Stalin at the State Secretariat.

He said these projects were spread over several sectors and various districts, including Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram Tiruvallur, Villupuram, Tiruvannamalai, Krishnagiri, Namakkal, Perambalur, Theni, Dindigul, Karur. Tiruppur, Salem, Coimbatore, Thoothukudi and other districts.
