Chennai, Aug. 2 -- Tamil Nadu Agriculture Minister R. Vinoth triggered a fresh controversy for holding the draft copy of the Agriculture budget to be presented in the State Assembly on August six, while offering darshan at the Lord Balaji temple in Tirumalain Tirupati, drawing severe criticism from the Left parties--CPI and CPI(M)--providing outside support to the TVK government headed by Chief Minister Vijay--who termed in as a violation of Constitution, and also from the opposition parties DMK and the AIADMK.

Three months after storming to power, the TVK regime would be presenting its first fullfledged General budget for the year 2026-27 when the Assembly begins on August five followed by the Agricultural budget the next day.
