Chennai, Nov. 22 -- Tamil Nadu and UK governments on Saturday jointly launched a Heat Resilience Centre, marking a major step in strengthening the state's capacity to tackle rising extreme heat. A Letter of Intent (LoI) was signed between Tamil Nadu Green Climate Company and the UK government on Friday evening.

The LoI was exchanged between Supriya Sahu, Additional Chief Secretary, Environment, Climate Change, and Forests Department, and Seema Malhotra MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, UK government, according to official sources.
