New Delhi, June 9 -- A fierce war of words erupted within the Trinamool Congress on Tuesday as senior party leaders Kalyan Banerjee and Kirti Azad mounted a strong attack on a group of dissident MPs, accusing them of effectively siding with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after their reported meetings with senior BJP leaders in New Delhi.
Addressing a media interaction in the national capital, Kalyan Banerjee alleged that the lawmakers who recently met union Minister Bhupender Yadav and West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari had crossed political boundaries and could no longer claim allegiance to the TMC.
