Kolkata, June 1 -- Former West Bengal minister and Trinamool Congress MLA Arup Roy on Monday publicly expressed his disappointment with the party leadership, alleging that the organisation had failed to stand by its workers and leaders at a time when many were facing attacks across the state.
Addressing a press conference at his residence in Howrah, Roy said the party's organisational weakness had become increasingly evident since its defeat in the recent Assembly elections. "The party should have stood beside its workers who are being attacked. From ordinary workers to MLAs and MPs, many are being assaulted, but the party is not there for them.
