Kolkata, June 3 -- The Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Wednesday announced the dissolution of all its organisational committees across West Bengal, a move that has triggered speculation about whether the party leadership is attempting to prevent a possible split within its ranks.

Political observers believe the decision may be part of a broader strategy by TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee to reorganise the party's student, youth, labour and women's wings following the party's poor electoral performance and the emergence of a rebellion among several legislators.
