Tirupati, June 22 -- Tirumala Two Town Police on Monday registered a case against a man for allegedly cheating around 60 devotees from Guntur district by promising to arrange Suprabhata Seva tickets and accommodation in Tirumala through fake recommendations.
According to police, the case was registered based on a complaint lodged by Gopu Srinivasa Reddy against Nimmala Srinivas under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Police said the accused allegedly claimed to have close contacts with employees of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) and assured devotees that he could secure Suprabhata Seva darshan tickets and accommodation under the employees' quota.
