Tirupati, Sept. 5 -- The Tirumala temple and many local temples come under the umbrella of TTD , will remain closed on September 7 for lunar eclipse.
According to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), pilgrim worship will remain suspended at the hill temple from 3.30 PM on September 7 till 3 am on September 8.
IT was a customary practice to close down the temple six hours prior to the actual eclipse time. The lunar eclipse will begin at around 9:50 pm on September 7 and end at around 1:31am on September 8.
Many temples managed by TTD including Tiruchanoor, Govindaraja Swamy, Sri Kodandarama Swamy, Srinivasa Mangapuram, Appalayagunta and many more will remain closed from the afternoon session on September 7 following Lunar Eclipse.
